Closet cleanout

At the beginning of the summer, I folded and put away my sweaters, lugged the summer clothes upstairs, and separated the maternity clothes from the pre-pregnancy clothes. Then I ran out of time and shoved everything into drawers, figuring I'd sort it out tomorrow.

Two months later, I finally pulled everything out of my closet and sorted it into piles. The biggest pile, unsurprisingly, was of clothes only suitable for wearing around the house or for workouts. I subdivided the "outside the house" pile according to whether I'd be embarrassed to run into someone I knew while wearing those clothes. I was left with a small handful of non-embarrassing items, most of which I hadn't worn in weeks. Since I don't have many nice clothes, I always feel like I should "save" them -- but for what, I don't know.

I resolved to start wearing my non-embarrassing clothes on a daily basis. It's part of my campaign to save myself from the slippery slope to housedresses. Today the closet, tomorrow the underwear drawer!
