: Legal Pad | LAHealth Net pays $25 million over improperly dropped policies

Woodland Hills-based Health Net Inc. agreed to a $25 million dollar settlement with the state Department of Insurance over the company's improper dropping of coverage for 926 patients, the Associated Press reported (here).
Health Net will pay back $14.2 in outstanding medical expenses, waive $7.2 million in insurance premiums and pay a $3.6 million fine, while not acknowledging any wrongdoing, the AP reported.
