By Leslie A. Pardo
A huge dust storm rolled into the West Valley late yesterday, lowering visibility to near zero. Also called a “haboob,” dust storms are most common between May and September in Maricopa and Pima County. For some tips on what to do if you are caught in a dust storm, please click on Dust Storms in Arizona and Safety in a Storm.
