10 Worst Things To Say While At Work

By chucknewton

ADVERTISEMENTS

CNN and CareerBuilder have developed the 10 worse things to say at work.  To us home office and Third WaveBigteeth lawyers, these might be the best things not say while working.  Whether to staff, to a client, to a perspective client or even to referring counsel or opposing counsel these cannot be good.  They are:

1.  "That's not my job."

2.  "Yeah, no problem." (If you don't mean it.)

3.  "Don't tell anyone I said this, but ... "

4.  "I haven't had a raise in four years."

5.  "It's not my fault."

6.  "To be honest with you ... "

7.  "Whom did you vote for?"

8.  "I got so trashed last night ... "

9.  "I just didn't have enough time for that."

10. ". . . or else."
