If You Thought Ted Kennedy Was Big

Ted Kennedy has decided to endorse Barack Obama.

But if you thought that was big news, listen to this. Toni Morrison has ALSO decided to endorse Obama.

Two things.

1. Obama clearly has the edge in the growing ethnic-literature lovers vote. Though often not an influential group because they're split amongst several irrelevant candidates, this year the bloc could give Obama as many as 20-30 votes nationwide.

2. Doesn't Morrison's endorsement kind of read like a love letter?

"In thinking carefully about the strengths of the candidates, I stunned myself when I came to the following conclusion: that in addition to keen intelligence, integrity and a rare authenticity, you exhibit something that has nothing to do with age, experience, race or gender and something I don't see in other candidates.

That something is a creative imagination which coupled with brilliance equals wisdom."
