AP writer Schuyler Dixon files, "Lawyers attempt to halt execution, alleging affair," via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.Lawyers for a convicted killer who claim the judge and prosecutor were having an affair during his murder trial asked the state's highest appeals court Monday to halt this week's execution, saying the judge's extensive history of recusing herself from the prosecutor's cases shows a relationship between the two. It was one of a handful of actions Charles Dean Hood's attorneys were taking in an effort to stop Wednesday's lethal injection he was sentenced to for the 1989 killings of an ex strip-club dancer and her boyfriend.
