The sky was beautiful and then within about 5 minutes it darkened and hard wind-driven rain swept in and knocked out our power. The power came back quickly. Apparently, it affected Anderson Cooper of CNN, who was interviewing Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu in the French Quarter. Looks the show is about get started.

When the power goes out permanently, I'll have to resort to Twitter updates so check that web page if you want to keep up with my situation.
