Obama Rebukes Kerry, Richardson, et al

ADVERTISEMENTS
Obama went out of his way to be gracious to John McCain tonight, in order to rebuke members of his own party.
These are the policies I will pursue. And in the weeks ahead, I look forward to debating them with John McCain.

But what I will not do is suggest that the Senator takes his positions for political purposes. Because one of the things that we have to change in our politics is the idea that people cannot disagree without challenging each other?s character and patriotism.

Ben Smith noticed it too. Isn't that the running line on the left? We used to like John McCain, but he's changed to win the nomination of his party?

Usually they don't just say he's changed, for no reason. They ascribe a calculated purpose behind the change.

Kudos to Obama for rebuking those attacks. It increased his credibility on other matters.
