: South Florida LawyersMike Tein Expounds on Sophisticated Ponzi Schemes, Eskimo Purchasing Patterns

Our boy Mike made some more good press over the weekend. This time he is representing investors duped by the Latin America Ipod scheme. Here he is explaining how good of a con man the alleged perpetrator was:
A great line. Go get 'em Michael!Attorney Michael Tein, representing one of Pimstein's largest investors, developer Victor Gonzalez, said his client lost more than $2 million.
''This guy was an exceptional con man,'' Tein said. ``He could have sold snow to Eskimos.''
But maybe Mike should have stopped there:
"Have you heard the one about how you can tell a con man is talking? His lips are moving. Wait a minute, I got plenty more where that came from. Don't forget to tip your waitresses, I'll be here all week!"Just joking of course.
On the merits, though, where is the money. UM? The banks that processed the transactions? If he was that good of a con man, why weren't the banks and UM fooled too?
