By Jason Siegel

ADVERTISEMENTS

A Ventura County jury foreman said he didn't intend to create an appellate issue when he wrote a blog posting the testimony and evidence of an ongoing murder trial, the Ventura County Star reports.

Superior Court Judge Edward Brodie told the the unidentified male juror that might have sentenced the juror to five days in jail and/or fined him $1,000 had the blog affected the fairness of the trial.

The juror blogged about once every three days since the beginning of the case, which involved a gang member who got a 27 year to life prison sentence. The blogger also complained that the trial was taking to long and criticized the judge's staff.
