Miscellaneous

The iMacs and my MacBook Pro arrived today for the office!  It was really painless transferring data from my 5+ year old Powerbook to the MacBook Pro (via firewire - although it took several hours), and the iMacs are just wonderful.  I hadn't thought I would be as impressed as I am, but I am now wishing I had one for home!

The big challenge now?  Getting Daylite up and running and automating everything that can be automated.  One small snag: the Quickbooks on the PC was such an old version that it won't easily port into the Mac version.  Grrr....

In other news, Peach has a bit of a cold, making her grumpy.  I've been so tired that all week I'm in bed by 9 (except tonight) and miserable to wake up; probably Peach's cold, but I hope not.

And in even more exciting news, brother Phil is getting married to his gorgeous and talented Finnish girlfriend!  The wedding will be in Helsinki in late September, and I'll be going!  It will be on the grounds of the Lutheran cathedral, in a lovely little chapel.  I am so excited!   It will be hard for me that Matthew and Peach will be staying home, though. The wedding should be only about a month after the birth of my nephew (expected toward the end of August), so it's a momentous month coming up for the family.
