New Names in the Courts

• Washington state Chief Justice Gerry Alexander named Jeff Hall State Court Administrator.


• North Carolina's Governor Easley appointed Brian C. Wilks, an assistant D.A., District Court Judge in Durham.


• The Governator appointed attorneys John D. Freeland and Nan C. Jacobs to the Stanislaus County Superior Court bench.


• Acting D.A. Keva Landrum-Johnson won an unexpired term plus regular term after her opponent withdrew. She is now Criminal District Judge for Division E in Orleans Parish.


• Ben Miller, Jr., is the new chief juvenile court judge for the Griffin Judicial Circuit in Georgia.


• Wisconsin Governor James Doyle appointed his former law partner, Thomas Lister, as Jackson County circuit court judge.


• Jose "Pepe" Perez is the new court administrator for the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
