Riverside County judicial policy goes to high court

The California Supreme Court will look at Riverside County's judicial policy that says civil trial courts can be used for criminal cases facing dismissals because of speedy-trial guarantees, The Press-Enterprise reported last week.

A three-judge panel at the Orange County Superior Court agreed with the policy last year, but prosecutors  and the district attorney's office want the decision reversed.
