: Expressio UniusMcKinney Gets Green Party Nomination
Cynthia McKinney, the conspiracy theorist who floated rumors that Bush was responsible for 9/11, has claimed the Green Party nomination.
McKinney was a 6 term Georgia Congresswoman who was ousted not once, but twice, by her party in a primary. She left Congress in 2006.
Georgia is going to be a complete bloodbath. You've got a traditionally red state that went blue in 1992, but has been solid since then. Except it has a huge African-American presence, and Obama has it in his sights. And you have Bob Barr, the former Georgia representative, siphoning McCain's votes.
Does McKinney play the siphon role in Georgia, so as to help McCain?
Yes, but to a very small degree. Unless the state is extremely close, she won't make a difference. Even with Barr, I think McCain will win the state by 5-10 points.
