Inside With an Intern

My name is Abby Rose Turner, and I?m from Midland, Texas. I?m 22 years old, and I attend Texas Tech University. My major is Education, with an emphasis on integrated math and science, and I graduate in December of 2008.

I?m thrilled to say that I?m interning for The Honorable Michael Conaway for this Spring of 2008. Words cannot express my gratitude for receiving this opportunity! The Washington D.C. office staff is an amazing group, and I know their professional guidance will allow me to serve Congressman Conaway to my full potential.

My day as an intern is extremely educational. I have only been here a little over a week, and I have already learned so much about the legislative process. It?s overwhelming to imagine what I will learn when I complete my internship. However, I cannot take credit for what I have learned if it wasn?t for Claire, who has been extremely helpful and patient with me and other interns.

I anticipate the remainder of my internship with much excitement, and I?m honored to be interning for Congressman Conaway!
