Fear-mongering Lieberman?

ADVERTISEMENTS
Joe Lieberman is getting called out for fear-mongering regarding a possible terror plot in 2009, during the first year of the new presidency.

Here's the video:

Seems pretty reasonable to me. That doesn't mean, of course, that there *will* be an attack. It means we need to be especially vigilant next year. Who can be especially vigilant? Lieberman thinks McCain. Disagree if you want, but that's Lieberman's opinion.

The HuffPo article goes onto say:

John McCain [] will be "ready on day one" to continue the Bush administration's policies of appeasement that have allowed al Qaeda to regroup, flourish, and uhm . . . presumably plan this welcome-wagon act that Lieberman is predicting.

Wait, now who's fear-mongering? If the left is claiming the Bush Administration has done a bad job handling the War on Terror, such that al quaeda is *stronger* now, and Obama is better equipped to handle them, that is ALSO fear-mongering!

Don't try to scare up votes by saying al quaeda is stronger now because of Bush, or that Obama's policies are better than McCain's. You're just fear-mongering.

See how ridiculous it sounds.
