: Capital Defense Weeklyofftopic: street cred in the courtroom

Ken Lammers asks a pretty pedestrian question that seems to baffle lawyers on my side of the aisle, why won’t the State dismiss/see it my way. The answer, of course, is credibility. A trialasaurus rex, a local bar legend, or a lawyer who just kicked a– in trial against the State has it, new trial attorneys (no offense meant), those who go to trial and don’t make the state sweat, or out of county attorneys with no rep, don’t. Ken’s post reminds me why I am thankful I have been where I practice for awhile and no longer have to worry about “the new guy”/FNG plea offers.
Ken’s post pegs a 10 and a must read for reg. crimlaw types..Full post as published by Capital Defense Weekly on June 18, 2008 (boomark / email).
