: Chuck Newton1-800-Got Junk
By chucknewton
There is an attorney named Rick McGuire that comes on TV everyday when I am eating lunch and snarls at the camera, "I hate dunk drivers"! Well, I have kind of the same visceral response to junk.
Clutter can ruin your well being, your good intentions, and it can serious disrupt the Ch'i of your home and office. I know attorneys who tell me they cannot move their office home, even though they have an extra room, because their space is crammed full of stuff. Certainly they need to get organized, but they do not know where to put this stuff. How silly is this. Junk piling up makes you feel bad, it hampers your plans, it gets in the way, and it cost you untold hours trying to find the few things you really do need. The answer is to purge. We just do not need all of this stuff. And, it makes us feel so tense to have around. It can make us feel like a loser. I am not the neatest person in the World, but I am improving with years (and as the kids move out). But, the one thing I have to my advantage is that I have just refused to let this stuff pile up. If I am buying or renting square footage (and that is what you do when you buy a home) then I darn well intend to be using the square footage for something other than storage. You can get two cars into my garage, for example. The paperless environment is helping. But, if you are a pack rat or a clutter bug, you need to start purging. In this regard, I am a frequent user of 1-800-Got Junk. Just go ahead and get the tears out of the way, get the anger out of your system for wasting all of that money to begin with, or whatever other emotions are keeping you from cleaning house (or office), and pile all of this stuff in one location. Then call 1-800 Got Junk, or go online at 1800GotJunk.Com. It is quick and it is easy and it is not too expensive. Throw in all of those old paper files while you are at it. They will take them to the incinerator for you. It might not be the most environmentally friendly solution, but it will make you feel better to purge and it will make you feel a lot better to have a bunch of clean, uncluttered and unfettered space in your home, office or home office. Well, I hope I know what you have planned for your weekend.
