: Mike Conaway's BlogAngelo State University Gets Nursing Program Grant
Today, I had the priviledge of announcing that Angelo State University has received a grant in the amount of $32,078 to fund the Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship program.
Nurses are an integral part of every community, and it is essential that they receive the proper education and training to perform to the best of their ability in the workplace. This grant will make it easier for students to pursue a career in nursing and, in turn, improve the lives of many living in the San Angelo area.
Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship supports individuals preparing to be nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse midwives, nurse anesthetists, nurse educators, nurse administrators, public health nurses, and other nurse specialists requiring advanced education. This grant was awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services through the office of Health Resources and Services Administration. -Mike
