Intitiative to ban same-sex marriage will go to November vote

The initiative to ban same-sex marriage in California will go to voters in November. The Secretary of State announced yesterday that the initiative got more than the 694,354 signatures needed to qualify. If passed, it would amend California's constitution to define marriage as only available to opposite-sex couple and overturn a California Supreme Court ruling that deemed state bans on same-sex marriage unconstitutional. read more
