: court-o-rama.orgShow Me the Money: Federal Funding Ops
By Anne Skove, Esq.
The Government Relations Office at the National Center for State Courts has just released a new issue of its Federal Funding Report.
Of note:
- The Juvenile Indigent Defense Action Network (JIDAN) will grant $100,000 for one year to support reform efforts. "State entities, organizations and collaborations with a designated fiscal agent, law school clinical programs, nonprofit law centers and other organizations are eligible to apply," provided they do so by June 6. See the National Juvenile Defender Center for the application or for more information.
- The NIJ will provide funding to researchers "to address knowledge gaps related to prison sexual violence [...] particularly interested in research and evaluation on staff-on-inmate sexual misconduct."
- Hurry up, because June 2 (!) is the deadline to apply for assistance from the National Archives and Record Administration. The grants are to help preserve historical documents, digitize historical records, and maintain electronic records. "State, local and tribal governments, institutions of higher education and nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply." See the announcement for the skinny.
