On the plane Back from a disappointingly gray weekend in California. Lots to say, but the basic thought is that I remembered why I used my family for so much inspiration in my writing. My 2L year, when I shared a novel chapter based loosely on my grandfather's funeral (which I wasn't able to go to, which inspired this piece), one comment was that the family craziness was too over-the-top. Heh. This weekend wasn't dramatic like that, but it was colorful and sweet, and I'm glad Becca got to meet her people.

Speaking of Miss Rebecca, she did wonderfully on the plane rides, especially on the way back. She'd gone more than five days without a poopy diaper and decided somewhere over Nebraska that now would be the perfect time to Drop the Bomb. Luckily, after we cleaned up she was so exhausted from the effort she slept the last 3 hours of the flight, all the way through landing. That's my girl.

Am now trying to get caught up on my bar plan, but not too worried about it. I have lunch dates with four friends this week as I try and make sure to see everyone before they leave for good. But if you want to talk about something to worry about - Larissa is STILL the Jeopardy champion, and after just 5 wins has stolen Dan's spot as the person with the 4th highest regular season winnnings. I am starting to pray that she is in someone else's TOC quarterfinal.
