Tanker Overturns in Fort Worth

A tanker truck overturned on Loop 820 in southeast Fort Worth Monday morning. According to police, the driver lost control of the truck as it made a turn on a ramp on southbound Loop 820. The driver was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment.

The truck was carrying salt water--which is often used for drilling rig operations in the area--and some of the cargo spilled. The majority, however, remained intact. The tanker was still blocking the highway two and a half hours after the accident. A second truck was later called in to transport the remainder of the truck's load.
