: Virginia Qui Tam LawBreaking News: John Brownlee Announces Press Conference for May 20, 2008 to Announce Plans to Run for Virginia Attorney General
By Zachary A. Kitts

Roanoke-area station WDBJ-7 has just announced that former federal prosecutor John Brownlee has scheduled a press conference for tomorrow, May 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM.
Brownlee, whose last day as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia was Friday, is expected to announce his candidacy for Virginia Attorney General in the upcoming 2009 election.
The press release making the announcement leaves little doubt about the subject-matter of the press conference tomorrow--it is written on "Brownlee for Attorney General" letterhead.
For those of you who might be reading this blog for the first time, please see my frequent posts on Mr. Brownlee and the excitement in the qui tam community about his candidacy.
Mr. Brownlee, count me in as a volunteer, sir.
