Weekend Trivia Challenge - Top-Ranked Canadian Law School

By Dan Markel, Ethan Leib, Rick Garnett, Matt Bodie, Paul Horwitz , Steve Vladeck, and Orly Lobel

ADVERTISEMENTS

Prawfs Trivia ChallengeCanada_flagThis past fall, Maclean's, a weekly news magazine in Canada, ranked the country's law schools. Who came out ranked number one?

And since Maclean's ranked common-law schools and civil-law schools separately, you'll get credit for naming number one in either category.

Toronto_logoThe top ranked common-law school is the University of Toronto. Rounding out the top five are McGill University, Osgoode Hall Law School of York University, the University of Ottawa, and Queen's University. There are are a total of 16 common-law law schools in Canada.

Montreal_logoThe top-ranked civil-law school is the Université de Montréal. The remainder of the list ? there are only five civil-law schools in the country ? is: University of Ottawa, Université Laval, Université de Sherbrooke, and UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal).

The complete lists can be found in the Maclean's article.
