: Garrett Worley's BlawgDraw Clients to Your Website
By Garrett Worley
Law firms of all sizes have realized the importance of maintaining a web presence. Luckily, creating a professional-looking site is more affordable than ever. Do-it-yourself types can create a great site for virtually nothing. But in the long run, the most important thing is traffic. If nobody sees your site, your hours of work (or thousands of dollars) are wasted.
Jill Windwer on Law.com discusses how to increase traffic to your website in a recently posted article. Her suggestions (linking, Wikipedia, etc.) are easy to implement and quite effective. I would add one item to her list, however: content. While you certainly don’t want to give legal advice through your website, you can give clients an overview of the legal system or your particular practice area. This creates more keywords for the search engine spiders to pick up and can increase you Google page rank.
