BMW of North America, LLC. Recalls BMW X5 vehicles
Incorrect Rear Suspension Stabilizer Installed
BMW of North America, LLC. announced a recall of its 2008 BMW X5 on April 10, 2008, after 55 models were discovered to have the wrong rear suspension stabilizer installed.
The recalled BMW X5s were equipped with a sports-suspension stabilizer on the rear axle rather than a standard-suspension stabilizer. The incorrect stabilizer can cause an over-steer reaction during high speed lane changes which may lead to a catastrophic injury from a car accident.
The owners of the recalled BMW X5s are advised to contact BMW at 1-800-831-1117 or through email.
