Bombardier Snowmobiles recalled
3 reports of stuck throttles
On December 19, 2007, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) recalled about 480 of its 2008 Ski-Doo® MXZ X 600 RS Snowmobiles after receiving three reports of snowmobiles with stuck throttles. The stuck throttles are caused by a defect in the carburetor and can result in an unexpected loss of control, which increases the risk of personal injury to users.
The snowmobiles involved in the recall are Ski-Doo model year 2008 MXZ Z 600 RS snowmobiles that were sold in yellow or black/slate. The model name is found on the side panels.
Ski-Doo dealers nationwide sold the recalled snowmobiles during November of 2007 for about $9,500. For more information, customers may contact Bombardier at 888-638-5397, or visit the company?s website.
