: The Trial Technologist's ViewMy Top 5 Visited Websites
By Blake Boyd

I spend too much time online. When I got involved using computers, the internet was changing from a text based, unorganized mess to a great source of information and entertainment. To this day I constantly feel like I was when a kid… clicking on that link to find out what’s behind it…
And so I give to you my top visited websites, if I was to have to guess, I’d say I spend 50% of my time online switching between these sites.
iGoogle: If you don’t have a gmail address or at least a google account you’re missing out. The ability to customize a homepage so you can get all the information you want most, quickly, is indispensable.
digg: If you’ve been under a rock let me simply say that digg is a user driven news site. The users post news stories, pictures and videos, which are then made more or less popular by “digging” them. Highly addictive site.
GIZMODO: This is where I go to get the latest technology news. Blog style postings with somewhat comedic and sometimes disturbing posts. Yet the information is always top notch.
engadget: Another technology site with the same setup as gizmodo, they sometimes overlap in information. The site might have a larger following, but I prefer gizmodo. But that doesn’t stop me from reading daily.
woot!: When I log on in the morning I first glance over my igoogle page, then immediately click on the woot! shortcut. Woot.com is an online store and community that focuses on selling cool stuff cheap. One item, One day. Simple concept, but beware, popular items sell out within seconds. Every night at 12:01am CST they post a new item. Every once in a while they will have a “woot-off” which they post a new item for 1 hour until it sells out. These days take a toll on your pocket.
oh… and shipping is $5 on anything and everything (they sell items as large as big screen tvs)
Happy Browsing!
