Not Giving Up

More family members reiterated that my not taking the Mass Bar in July was tantamount to "giving up" in a Dr. Phil-style intervention. I don't feel this way at all; rather I think it's restructuring my plans and expectations.

What I do know:

1. The legal market here sucks.
2. I have very few connections, contacts, and opportunities for networking.
3. I'm not going to be barred in Mass for the foreseeable future.
4. I'm licensed in New York.
5. J might have a better chance of transferring to his company office in Manhattan.

Conclusion: Ramp up the job search elsewhere, right?

I don't see how they can't see that, and why they've gone from very-proud-of-you in Albany mode to disaster recovery mode so quickly. I'm fine; I'm cried a bit on Friday, but mostly due to an overload of emotions, but since then I've taken comfort in the company and kind words of good friends, including my blogging compatriots. I definitely appreciate your advice and support.
