: Legal Pad | LAPipe bomb explodes at San Diego federal courthouse

A bomb exploded outside the entrance of the U.S federal courthouse in downtown San Diego early yesterday morning.
The explosion destroyed a glass door and damaged the lobby, FBI officials told the Los Angeles Times. No injuries were reported as a result of the 1:40 a.m. blast.
The courthouse will be closed to the public today due to the damage. All federal court activity in San Diego is on hold, but the Clerk's Office for the federal court and the U.S. Courthouse in El Centro are open.
Authorities told ABC News that the bomber lit the fuse to the explosives, three galvanized pipe bombs inside a backpack, and then fled. They also said that it could be the work of a serial bomber who set off bombs at a FedEx building in San Diego on April 25 at 2 a.m.
