By Jason Siegel

ADVERTISEMENTS

The federal government admitted its negligence in the death of immigrant Francisco Castaneda who died of penile cancer after being denied medical treatment and testing during his year in custody, the Associated Press reported.

The admission of negligence carries damages up to $250,000. Attorney Conal Doyle, who's representing Castaneda's family, told the AP that he plans to argue that the policy that denied Casteneda medical care is unconstitutional.
