Del_toro The Mexican-born director Guillermo Del Toro made entertainment headlines yesterday when he was named the director of a planned two part film adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien novel The Hobbit. Del Toro is now famous for directing the critically acclaimed film Pan's Labyrinth.
