: Threat LevelMoveOn.org Unleashes Voter-Created Pro-Obama Videos on Eve of Pennsylvania Primary

MoveOn.org has unveiled, on the eve of the Pennsylvania primary, the more than one thousand voter-created Obama campaign ad submissions that it has received.

The political action group, which endorsed the Illinois senator and Democratic presidential candidate earlier this year, launched an "Obama in 30 Seconds Or Less" contest a few weeks ago.
Wired.com recently ran a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of one of these videos in Oakland, California by GB Films.
MoveOn.org has given the web community six days to rate the submissions. Top-rated submissions will be submitted to a panel of celebrity figures for further judging. They include actor Ben Affleck, director Oliver Stone, rock artist Eddie Vedder and Stanford Law School professor Larry Lessig, among others.
The group claims 3.2 million members, and it's just sent out a notification e-mail to its community announcing the slew of new videos. It's encouraging those members to share their favorites -- so expect your inbox to be inundated over the next few days with multiple pointers to videos explaining why you should support Barack Obama.
The catch -- you must enter your e-mail, name and zip to rate the videos. Once you click on the verification link in your e-mail box, the system starts registering your votes, says Ilyse Hogue, communications director for MoveOn.org Political Action.
Several of the videos viewed by Threat Level this afternoon were pretty high quality, witty and well done.
And some of them do boost the idea that Obama is probably the best retail-branded candidate in modern political history.
Some, like this one from Patrick Longstreth, are designed to be spine-chilling.
Even though a lot of them aren't high impact enough to make it onto the television, they're fun to watch.
Threat Level is partial to this one by Jill Bolduc, which includes a Threat Level advisory.
But then there's also this one by Leila Wheless. The video shows two six-year-old boys who "argue the issues."
That involves a lot of surprisingly spot-on approximations of the presidential candidates' rhetorical tactics. It includes what could be a brand new liberal kiddie insult: "Wiretapper," which meets with the retort: "Tree-hugger!" Pretty funny, and clever.
