Dog the Bounty Hunter and Neo-Nazi Relatives

I talked to Jesse Jackson yesterday with my homeboy Marc Lamont Hill. Talking to Jesse is always interesting, since I really don?t know what to say. I am not as conservative as Jesse, so I am never sure if we are in lockstep on many issues. In this particular case we were talking about black male dropout rates, on which we both agree. With my father being a pastor, I think I understand a little bit about how Jesse thinks.  I’m enough of a PK (Preacher’s Kid) to know how to act around pastors….sometimes. 

Other issues on which Jesse and I agreed are that Don Imus should have been taken off the air, Michael Richards should have been pimp slapped, and Dog the Bounty Hunter has no place on television after his ?N*gger, N*gger, N*gger? tirade over the telephone. But after being behind the scenes in the Imus, Richards and Dog situations, I have become quite disillusioned.
It seems that there is a standard ?racial healing tour? that every racist celebrity goes on after they shoot their mouths off in public. You know the drill?.show up on tv with some black neighbor, pastor, best buddy or whatever, apologize profusely and then make an appearance on either Al or Jesse?s radio show to continue apologizing for what you?ve done.

Unlike Jeremiah Wright, you are soon forgiven and given another show on a different network, or in Dog?s case, the same show on the same network, A&E.

But the forgiveness at least assumes you don?t get caught again with your pants down, in which case Dog the Bounty Hunter?s son apparently did. It?s easy to explain away a ?nappy headed hoe? or two, but it?s much harder to explain why your son is dressed as a Neo-Nazi.
