New Orleans has the dubious honor of being the 2007 Murder Capital of the United States. Some people think that?s no big deal, because most of the victims are gangsters or druggies. One person, Charles Anderson, thinks otherwise; he believes that each of those lives is precious. He moved to New Orleans from New Jersey to demonstrate this belief publicly. He?s organized a little group called United Peace for New Orleans, whose simple purpose is to commemorate the humanity of murder victims who, to most of us, are just statistics.
