We are currently seeking a talented and hard-working Reference Librarian to work within the expanding Research Services department.  This position will require attention to detail, great organizational and analytical skills.  Don't miss the opportunity to work for an exciting and dynamic law firm located in the heart of the Penn Quarter.

Overview of Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be an integral member of a talented research team.  The following is an overview of the responsibilities for this position.  The selected candidate will have ample opportunity to gain new skills and an expanded role as they demonstrate proficiency. 

• Provides research and reference service to the Firm on legal, business, and general topics.

• Prepares subject bibliographies, pathfinders, and usage guides on library resources.

• Provides bibliographic instruction to the Firm regarding research resources.

• Recommends additions to the library collection.

• Conducts training programs for attorneys and staff.

• Assists the Assistant Director of Research Services in the development of new services.

• Provides research and reference services to all branch offices including

• Participates in collection maintenance activities.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Must have Masters degree in Library Science or equivalent.  JD preferred.

• 1-3 years law firm or legal reference experience required.

• Ability to use online databases and resources such as Westlaw, Lexis, CD ROMs, and the Internet.

• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
