MIDEM Digital Edition – 2020. This year due to covid-19 the global music industry conference, MIDEM, will be held online June 3rd and 4th, 2020. This year I have been honoured to be co-editor of the annual book for MIDEM published by the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers, with my colleague Marijn Kingma, a partner at the law firm Höcker Advocaten in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Unfortunately, the 2020 book entitled, “Nationalism vs. Globalism: Regional and Transnational Legal Issues Reshaping the Entertainment Industry,” has become the 2020-21 book, meaning that it won’t be released in total until June, 2021. However, the good news is that several chapters are being released next week in digital format as “sneak peeks” of next year’s book. The other piece of good news is that Marijn and I will continue to co-edit into 2021. And the news keeps getting better insofar as the IAEL is putting on a two day extravaganza of FREE ONLINE SEMINARS as part of MIDEM.
