Does your PR class include any drafting exercises?

ADVERTISEMENTS

The comments to my earlier post were interesting (at least to an ethics wonk), so I thought I'd ask a similar question: do you include any drafting exercises in your PR class?

This semester I ask two groups of students to draft an appropriate waiver letter for the facts in Image Technical Services, Inc. v. Eastman Kodak Company, 820 F.Supp 1212 (N.D. Cal. 1993).   I asked one group to search for and use a form waiver letter and the other group to draft a letter entirely without outside help.  We put the letters up on the screen during class and critiqued them.  I thought it worked pretty well.
