By Edward Bills

ADVERTISEMENTS

The family of a Fort Meyers, FL man have filed suit for wrongful death and infliction of emotional distress against the Lee County EMS. The man suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead at 6:12am, but when the undertaker arrived more than an hour later he was found struggling to breathe on the bedroom floor. The man was rushed to the hospital, where he died four days later. The suit alleges that the EMS is responsible for employee negligence and will focus on the alleged wrongful death of the man and “the suffering of his wife of 49 years.”
