Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed in Basketball Court Shooting

The family of a man shot while attempting to intervene during a confrontation on a basketball court has filed a wrongful death lawsuit. The suit alleges that the man “negligently exhibited a loaded firearm while confronting a teenager who was skateboarding on the courts.” When the deceased intervened, the gun fired and he was struck in the chest. The family is seeking unspecified damage.
