This Kyodonews article discusses media reports about the American military evacuating Yokosuka base near Tokyo. A Pentagon spokesman has denied such plans.
The effectiveness of military operations would seem to be compromised severely if they start to bail out at present radiation levels. Any enemy force could reasonably assume they are dealing with a bunch of cowards.
