GlaxoSmithKline adds delirium, abnormal behavior warning to Relenza

On March 4, 2008, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) announced an addition to warnings on its flu drug Relenza after receiving reports of neuropsychiatric events, like delirium, and abnormal behavior in patients. The association between Relenza and the behaviors, however, has not been established.

The new warnings stem from a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advisory panel that reviewed the cases in November 2007.
