: Ernie the AttorneySpeaking to judges about video conferencing technology
By Ernie Svenson
Next Friday (March 11th) I'll be speaking to the Louisiana Judicial Council about new developments in Video Conferencing technology. Recently, a Georgia judge allowed a witness in a criminal trial to testify from Texas via Skype after the defense attorney said his client could not afford to bring the witness to Georgia.
Clearly, the low-cost and widely available video conferencing technologies are creating new opportunities for lawyers and judges. The question is: how can we take advantage of these technologies? If anyone has suggestions on this topic I'd love to hear them (just leave a comment, or email me).
