By Bill Gratsch
Another software product making inroads into the large law firm user base has been acquired by LexisNexis. This time around, Redwood Analytics.
If the plan at Lexis is to ultimately integrate all of the third party software applications it is adding to its portfolio, it faces a very interesting (and large) challenge. If it can do it, there will likely be large dividends down the road.
And, Redwood aside, I am still waiting for either Lexis or Thomson-West to move strongly into the document management space. Perhaps via Handshake Software and its developing DM Director product?
Here's a snippet:
LexisNexis, a leading global provider of information and services solutions, today announced it has acquired New Jersey-based Redwood Analytics, the leading provider of business performance analytics software for large law firms and an expert resource for business performance benchmarking services.
Redwood software, which includes the Redwood Analytics(R) suite, integrates with large law firms' time, billing, and accounting systems to deliver performance analytics that enable them to better manage profitability, business development, fee collection, key performance indicator goal setting and tracking, matter planning, and external benchmarking.
