What is my liability as an apartment maintenance worker entering a tenant's unit without permission?

As a maintenance worker for an apartment complex in Michigan, I am regularly asked to enter a tenant's apartment to make minor, non-emergency repairs, such as to window blinds and the like. Many times, the tenant has not granted permission nor even been notified that we will be entering their unit.

Is there a law in Michigan that impacts this, and what liablility do I face personally should the tenant complain or claim property is missing?

Thank you.
