Can the IRS come after personal assets to collect back taxes owed by an S corporation?

I was the sole shareholder of an S corp which is now insolvent. The ISR says the corp. owes $1800 in taxes from 2004 and is trying to levy my personal bank account. I was told that they could only go after the copporate assets, not my personal ones.
