Will Michael Phelps Bong Hits Makes His Gold Medals Go Up In Some?

Golden boy Olympic swimming multi-gold medalist Micheal Phelps was photographed inhaling marijuana from a glass bong at a University Of South Carolina party in Columbia, South Caroline last November by England’s News of the World. Although not considered performance enhancers, the International Olympic Committee added marijuana and other social drugs to its list of banned substances after Canadian snowboarder Ross Rebagliati tested positive for marijuana during the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. Should 23 year old Phelps, who received 18 months criminal probation for driving while intoxicated (DUI) in 2004, test positive for the canibis, he could be banned from international swimming competitions, including the Olympics, for four years.

Meanwhile, though a positive drug test could derail the Olympian’s eligibility to add to his 14 Olympic medal count for the USA, an admission of using cocaine and a present day tobacco smoking habit didn’t prevent the other USA golden boy Barack Obama from taking the oath of office as US President.

With those lungs of his, I would love to see him hit that in person. I bet he could clear a 10 foot bong. Who cares, the Olympics are over, he’s celebrating that fact that he’ll forever be in the WORLD HISTORY BOOKS. Give the guy a break. Alcohol is FAR worse for you than marijuana and you don’t see people going ape shit over him with a glass of Vodka in his hand. Oh well though, he’s got enough supporters and fans, and enough marijuana advocates on his side, if they do try to punish him it just might spark the beginning of the Tolerance of Peace and get the great green plant legalized finally.

It’s really such a shame that he smokes weed. That means he’ll never be able to finally achieve his dream of winning eight gold medals in one olympics, something that’s never been done before. He’s definitely just flushed his life away.

Maybe we should take all the people that think pot is evil and talk shit about M. Phelps and let them ride around with a drunk driver a little while, and then maybe they will get the point of how much worse alcohol is than smoking a little pot. I guarantee that alcohol kills more people a year than smokin’ pot—how many people do you know that have died from a weed overdose?

PEOPLE! Marijuana would most likely pull the country out of a recession. Seriously, would the amount of deaths causes by the drug and it’s effects really be worth it all? I know so many people who have had their lives ruined because of marijuana. The problem with the drug is that it slows down reaction time making it harder for the necessary reaction to occur. Read up people, life is not all fun and games.

SERIOUSLY! I agree with rocket on this one..even if marijuana pulled the country out of a recession do we really want to be known in the world as the country that relies on drugs and alcohol to pull them out of hard times?? There is wayyy better ways to get through life then always going to drugs. I tried them for a while and ruined my life. But Micheal can do whatever he wants it’s his life and people should butt out.

YOU should read up… Marijuana was only prohibited to keep the immigration from Mexico into America. It mainly came up into America from Mexico and the government felt the only way to keep the immigration down was to make marijuana illegal.

Technically alcohol is a drug too-and it also ruins people’s lives. And besides, marijuana is not going to ruin your life if you use it in moderation (same goes for alcohol).. and well, the people who do use it too much, haha well they are just funny to watch. Wow, so you and the Rocket guy are totally off base. First, marijuana is useful in ways besides the effects it can produce when ingested. Hemp can be used to make durable cloth and paper, medicines, and is even used in some cat, dog, and horse food. Did you know that the first AMerican Flag was made from Hemp fiber?? Different strains have different properties which make them useful to different industries. It is possibly one of the most profitable plants on the planet to date. SO besides the fact that marijuana users (typically smokers) make it a 300 billion dollar industry, when legalized it may be used for a whole array of things, not just getting high. Moreover, my good people are right to say that NO ONE has EVER died due to marijuana overdose;however, crack, cocaine, heroin(??), alcohol, and ASPRIN have all killed people, directly, due to overdose.
