We would never traffic such private evidence from a family matter involving a minor child. TMZ, the first media outlet to leak the recording, contends that Baldwin’s eleven year old daughter approves of the voicemail being published on their website and that they obtained the voicemail “legally” although the parties to the divorce proceeds and child custody case are bound by a judge’s gag order. We treat family law matters more carefully than other legal matters and with the sensitivity warranted when a child’s emotions are involved, understanding that the consent of a minor is not to be taken at face value.
