Chuck Lindell of the Austin American-Statesman has links to the two petitions filed by Texas Defender Service that resulted in the yesterday afternoon's stay of execution issued by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.  His blog post is here.The request for a stay is here. The organization also filed a second petition that goes into greater detail. Both petitions argued that the Texas court has not reviewed the way the state administers lethal injection despite requesting briefs on two challenges.
